Milton Arceneaux — artist, filmmaker, and storyteller

In the media

Milton in the media.

Internationally recognized photographer. Award-winning filmmaker. Author, producer, and curator. The work came first — the press followed it.

His path to public service began long before his campaign, as he successfully built a world that centers community: photographs that earned international recognition, films that won on the festival circuit and premiered in New Orleans, and three books on Louisiana Creole heritage. He built a creative life right here in Acadiana — where too many artists are told they have to leave to be taken seriously — and he stayed. That's the work the press picked up. It's the same work he'll put behind every artist, maker, and storyteller in Grand Coteau. Here it is, in their words — not ours.
